Today, 3/4ths of our group enjoyed a day off campus so we spent the day visiting the official Peking University (the Harvard of China) and some shopping. Our campus is a satellite campus of PKU.

The bikes, the bikes. What I found amazing were the electric bikes. Not the mopeds, but actual old bikes with motors. Too cool! We also saw tons of bikes---like parking lots full of them all pushed together. I just wonder how in the world you retrieve your bike after work or shopping if it's in the middle of the lot. Amazing how everything works so smoothly yet it is soooo crowded.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing. What? Toilet SEAT covers. I don't think we ever saw a toilet SEAT...go figure. LOL.
